There is a time to be angry. Anyone who says otherwise makes me angry. Anger is relevant not only to me but to everyone. When something is wrong, I get angry. Anger is a type of pain that tells me that something is not the way it should be. It inspires me to do something about whatever happened to cause the anger. Sometimes, I can be angry about what was done to me, but most of the time I am angry at what I see done to other people. Without this anger, I know that I never would have become a writer.
What must be understood is that anger is NOT the same thing as revenge. Hurting someone else because they did something to me or to someone else is no longer what I am interested in. I may be angry when someone says or writes something that I know is false but unless it is directly causing permanent damage, it will become irrelevant. In more extreme cases where murder or rape is happening, I do thing there is a time for someone to try to stop it. There is a time when action must be taken to stop dangerous people who are hurting other people. What exactly that action is must be relevant to the situation. Whatever works to prevent the crime from happening again is a solution.
