Why OpenOffice is relevant

In case anyone is wondering, the paperback versions of my books and my mom’s books were created with OpenOffice. Here is the website.

OpenOffice has a lot more to offer than just the few things I do with it. I know enough to use the Writer part of the suite. I want to mention this software to the world because it is quite relevant to anyone who wants to write a book and needs free software.

Once I have my documents the way I want, I export them to PDF files for upload to createspace. I hope this information helps other people in their own quest to become a published author.

Since I have been through the process of self publishing books for my mother and myself, I may be able to help others publish theirs. I could probably tutor someone on the basics of OpenOffice Writer.

I have unusual thoughts on almost every subject. I am as Pro-Life as I can possibly be. I am strongly opposed to violence of any type. That includes rape, war, and (obviously) abortion. Everything I think, speak, and write must be filtered by the effect it could have on the lives of others. If I am in any way promoting violence accidentally, please let me know.

  1. I’m writing my book in OpenOffice, too. So I totally agree that it’s relevant.

By an odd coincidence, the only book listed in the “Skepticism/Iconoclasm” section of it’s bibliography is a book titled “Irrelevant!”
