Why television is irrelevant

There are exceptions to this rule, but much of what happens on television is irrelevant. The goal of television is to convince people to buy things that they do not need. Either there are commercials which interrupt the shows or there is a show that is paid for by someone. The chances are that you will receive information which is very biased. If you are looking for entertainment, then television can provide it, but there are other sources for entertainment. The television was an interesting invention at the time, but it is not as reliable as a source of information or entertainment as the internet is. The great thing about the internet is that average people with very little money can write their own opinions on multiple websites. Best of all, you have the ability to often comment on what they say and have a conversation with new people who you would otherwise never know existed.
